Coastliner 36 - significant disruption

On Thursday 16th May there will unfortunately be significant disruption to Coastliner 36 buses due to Norfolk County Council surface dressing works.

From 0900hrs to 1400hrs we're unable to serve the following locations due to the closure of the A149 between Burnham Market and Wells-next-the-Sea:

• Burnham Overy Town
• Burnham Overy Staithe (cannot be served at all all day)
• Holkham
• Wells-next-the-Sea

During this time 36 buses will operate non-stop between Burnham Market and Fakenham (via the B1355 North and South Creake). There will, however, be dedicated shuttle bus operating between Wells-next-the-Sea and Fakenham to cover that section of the route. The timetable will be confirmed shortly. 

After 1400hrs the majority of the works should be complete and buses will return to serving the full route, with the exception of Burnham Overy Staithe, which cannot be served all day.

Service 39 disruption

Due to the closure of Squires Hill in Marham for emergency Anglian Water works our service 39 buses are on diversion. 

All bus stops are being served but please be aware there are likely to be delays to your journey.

Poplar Avenue, Heacham

We're currently unable to serve Poplar Avenue in Heacham due to roadworks.

The nearest alternative stops are at and opposite the Fox & Hounds PH.

Snettisham, Factory Shop

Unfortunately due to roadworks we're unable to serve the bus stops at the Factory Shop (Station Road) in Snettisham.

Temporary stops will be located on Lynn Road near to Strickland Avenue for buses towards Hunstanton and near to Longview Close for buses towards King's Lynn.

May 2024 Public Holiday buses

For the two upcoming Public Holidays on Monday 6th (Early May) and 27th May (Spring Bank) we'll be operating to Sunday/Public Holiday timetables on routes 34, 35, 36, 39, 42 and 48 only.

No other Lynx bus services will be operating on those dates.

Wells-next-the-Sea disruption

On Friday 10th May we're unable to serve the full normal route on Coastliner 36 in Wells-next-the-Sea due to a road closure for Anglian Water works.

As a result of the works the following stops cannot be served on this day:

- Northfield Lane

- The Quay

- Mainsail Yard

London Road, King's Lynn

Due to the annual GEAR 10k run our service 39 buses are unable to serve London Road in King's Lynn between 0800 and 1130hrs.

The bus will therefore divert in both directions via Tennyson Avenue.

Walsingham disruption

Please be advised that on the below dates & times our Coastliner 36 buses are unable to serve the full normal route due road closures for Pilgrimage events.

During the closure periods buses will divert via the B1105 ‘Dry road’ and therefore omit East Barsham, Houghton St Giles and most of Little Walsingham village. The only stops that can be served in Walsingham are at and opposite The Primary School.
